About the Northern Circuit Route
The Northern Circuit is Kilimanjaro's longest route and offers the highest summit success rates of any trail — due to its exceptional acclimatisation profile across 9–10 days. It circumnavigates almost the entire mountain, giving trekkers unparalleled views from every side of Kilimanjaro and access to the rarely-visited northern slopes.

Guide's Note
George Mushi
Professional Tanzania Safari & Kilimanjaro Guide
"If you can invest 10 days, the Northern Circuit is what I recommend without hesitation. The success rate speaks for itself — altitude sickness is largely about acclimatisation, and this route gives your body every chance to adjust. Plus, you'll see parts of Kilimanjaro that most people never visit."
