About the Lemosho Route
The Lemosho Route is widely regarded as one of the finest approaches on Kilimanjaro. Beginning from the remote western rainforest at Londorossi Gate, it offers exceptional biodiversity, long days of gentle acclimatisation, and some of the mountain's most dramatic scenery — including the iconic Shira Plateau, Lava Tower, and the Southern Icefields approach to Uhuru Peak.

Guide's Note
George Mushi
Professional Tanzania Safari & Kilimanjaro Guide
"The Lemosho is my first recommendation for anyone serious about reaching the summit. That extra acclimatisation day on the Shira Plateau genuinely makes a difference. I've seen guests on faster routes struggle at high camp — guests who would have been fine on Lemosho."
